that's 6 years of IT experience servicing the kind of garbage that is impacted by this sort of decisions.« First ‹ Previous 1 . If you have a powerful system the difference is neglible, but the slower a system you're comparing, the more beneficial windows 10 is.Īnd that's not just about my subjective opinion. it was actually designed to run on budget friendly tablets. and windows 10 looking like a phone OS is by design, because shocker. (because that's what im finding when people say 10 is "better")īoot speed is not the only metric. So that's subjective anyhow, but performance is not (no doubt some newer apps will perform better on 10, but i would specifically use older apps, that don't even run on 10)Īre you sure that's not just your subjective opinion because you think 7 is "bad" aka hard to use etc. Some game players may focus more on Windows 7"Īre you sure that's not just your subjective opinion because you think 7 is "bad" aka hard to use etc.? (because that's what im finding when people say 10 is "better")Īll i can say is, 7 looks beautiful, 10 looks, well, like a phone OS shoehorned into a desktop OS (kinda impractical and boring, although it can look good too) "Under the same hardware and software condition, Windows 10 boot speed is slightly slower than Windows 7 however, Windows 10 can wake from Sleep mode and Hibernate mode more quickly than Windows 7 Windows 10 will spend more time in loading programs than Windows 7. but the majority of what im finding seems to imply basically this Ok, im finding *very* conflicting info on this. I have this potato level netbook on the shelf that was near unusable on 7, that's actually a competent machine on 10. past that win10 has much lower memory requirements as well. 7's aero is much heavier to run than windows 10, even if you have transparency disabled.
